Change at the top as Reg Allen steps down.
After 26 years as a director of Canmec Ltd, co-founder Reg Allen has stepped down and sold his shares in the company. Reg who started the company in 1988 with Shaun Wilkes will remain at the company on a part time basis until he feels the time is right for him to retire from the industry completely.
Considering retirement for some time, Reg had decided that we would move away from the business slowly but sell off his share in the company to fellow directors Shaun Wilkes & Carl Dalloway. This action led to the merger of Canmec Ltd and Canmec Global Ltd to simplify the business and leave just Canmec Ltd as a trading name.
Reg’s legacy will live on at Canmec after he finally departs as his eldest son, Alex Allen is still a key part of the company as General Manager and is integral in the growth plans for the future of the company.
